Pescatech, an importer and distributor of premium grade cleaning solutions and products for the food processing industry, was facing stagnant sales figures in 2010. While they had revenues of $100,000 per month, the small business was unable to scale up its sales processes to fulfill its vision of expanding to become a national player.
“I was proud of what we had been able to achieve early on, but our small sales team was just not giving us the results we needed to grow the company,” says Pescatech Managing Director Tino Garcia-Warner. “We knew the business opportunity was out there, but we just couldn’t figure out a strategy on our own to start growing again.”
Pescatech hired Priority Solutions’ President Heidi Hamilton to develop a sales plan and strategy for their company. Heidi quickly determined that the sales team was working without clear targets in place. There was no clear role definition or means to manage performance. These hurdles were preventing the sales team from helping achieve the company’s ambitions.
Heidi developed a strategy to help the company achieve growth and provided ongoing outsourced sales management consulting to ensure sales processes were implemented according to the plan. Sales performance metrics and monitoring processes were implemented to facilitate further refinements in the sales strategy.
Revenue doubled in the first year (2010-2011) that Priority Solutions provided consulting, despite being in a recessionary economic climate.
Revenue has continued to grow since 2011.
Sales performance monitoring measures allow Pescatech to accurately project sales increasing steadily through 2014.
Sales team has grown from 2 sales professionals to an in-house team of 6, plus 3 members providing tertiary sales support – without the need to hire a full-time in-house sales manager..
Heidi Hamilton is a consummate professional. She’s a dynamic person who delivers what she promises. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her sales management consulting services for any company. We would use her again in a heartbeat!
